Putin is scheduled to have separate meetings with Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Sochi: Sergei Lavrov

YEREVAN, AUGUST 4, ARMENPRESS. TheOSCE Minsk Group makes considerable efforts, so that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict parties adopt a document on conflict settlement with political principles. As reports “Armenpress”, in an interview with ITAR-TASS this was stated by the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. “Of course, what happens in the line of contact is alarming. The sides are accusing each other of provocative actions. This happened in the previous years as well, and, unfortunately, for many years we have seen periodic outbreaks of this kind, but this time everything is perceived and presented more acutely. Quite a lot of people have died, and we, together with other countries, including the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair countries: the U.S. and France along with Russia, have urged the sides to exercise maximum restraint and avoid any kind of action that could lead to violence," said Lavrov.

The Russian Foreign Minister also stressed that this week the Russian President is scheduled to meet separately with the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Sochi. "And when they are in the same place at the same time, it will be impossible to avoid the Nagorno-Karabakh issue. And how it will be organized, depends on us,” noted Sergei Lavrov.
