Babies banned at California restaurant

YEREVAN, JULY 31, ARMENPRESS. A popular restaurantin California, Old Fisherman's Grotto, has effectively banned babies by prohibiting use of strollers, high chairs, and booster seats. As reports “Armenpress”, in reference to the international media, Old Fisherman's Grotto also reserves the right to remove "children crying or making loud noises" from the dining room. The restaurant has installed signs saying children making loud noises are a distraction to other customers.

The restaurant's policy, which is also outlined on its website, has caused controversy among parents, who say that the signs are offensive.

But restaurant owner Chris Shake said he is backing the signs and that if customers don't like the policy they can eat elsewhere. He also added, “Our business continues to grow.”
