7 Ministers dismissed in Georgia

YEREVAN, JULY 21, ARMENPRESS. Georgian Prime Minister Irakly Garibashvili held an urgent briefing where he dismissed Minister for Culture and Monument Protection Guram Odisharia, Minister for Environment Protection and Natural Resources Khatuna Gogoladze, Minister of Internally-Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees David Darakhvelidze, Minister for Agriculture Shalva Pipia, Minister for Regional Development and Infrastructure Elguju Khokrishvili, Minister for Corrections and Legal Assistance Sozar Subari, Minister for Diaspora Issues Constantine Surguladze. As reports “Armenpress”, News Georgia stated about this.

Subari will become the minister of internally-displaced persons from the occupied territories, accommodation and refugees. Khokrishvili will head the Ministry for Environment Protection and Natural Resources.

Shalva Tadumadze, the parliamentary secretary and head of the legal department of the governmental administration, said that the new ministers will be appointed in no later than 14 days.

Garibashvili ruled out early parliamentary polls, saying the elections will be held in 2016.
