Renowned Polish director Krzysztof Zanussi is awarded with “Yeghitsi Luys”

YEREVAN, JULY 18, ARMENPRESS. The Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II awarded the renowned Polish director Krzysztof Zanussi with “Yeghitsi Luys” award. The famous cinematographer received the award in the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin on July 18. Krzysztof Zanussi who arrived in Armenia within frames of “Golden Apricot” international film festival expressed his gratitude for the award.
“I am very impressed and it is a great honor for me to receive this award. I believe that Christianity is the powerful force of the future. I believe that it is a future for us and not a past. I am very grateful that I receive this award in the Christian old country,” Krzysztof Zanussi said, Armenpress reports.
Krzysztof Zanussi, (born 17 June 1939) is aPolishproducerandfilm director.
He is a professor of European film at theEuropean Graduate SchoolinSaas-Fee,Switzerlandwhere he conducts a summer workshop.He is also a professor at theSilesian UniversityinKatowice.
