Special Investigation Service opened criminal case against Valeri Osipyan based on media publication

YEREVAN, JUNE 27, ARMENPRESS.The Special Investigation Service opened a criminal case against Deputy Chief of the Yerevan Police Department Valeri Osipyan, based on media publication. This was stated by the Spokesman for Armenia’s Special Investigation Service (SIS) Mikael Aharonyan in his interview with “Armenpress”. “A criminal case was opened against the Yerevan Deputy Police Chief recently. At this moment the preliminary investigation is underway” – said Aharonyan.

He informed that the criminal case against Osipyan was opened based on the media publications, according to which, after the stabbing incident with the participation of the latter's nephew, the Yerevan Deputy Police Chief offered Nubarashen resident Susanna Hovhannisyan that her son – Sargis Hovhannisyan, who also participated in the argument, take the responsibility for stabbing.
