Atlanta zoo held birthday party for world's oldest living male gorilla

YEREVAN, JUNE 16, ARMENPRESS. On June 15 Atlanta Zoo held a birthday party for the world's oldest living male gorilla. As reports “Armenpress”, referring to Zoo Atlanta spokeswoman Keisha Hines, the zoo hosted a party last Sunday for Ozzie, a western lowland gorilla who turns 53-years-old this year. Officials say Ozzie was transferred to the zoo from an Emory University research center and has 10 surviving children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Zoo Atlanta President and CEO Raymond King calls Ozzie a piece of living history who is an example of the evolution of the zoo's gorilla program, reports ITAR TASS.
