CSTO Defense Ministers agreed to develop military component of organization

YEREVAN, JUNE 10, ARMENPRESS.The participants of the session of the Council of Defense Ministers (CDM) of the CSTO countries, held in Moscow on June 10, agreed to develop the military component of the organization. As reports “Armenpress”, this was informed by the Defense Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu.

"We exchanged views on the military-strategic situation and the situation created in the CSTO responsibility zone, including the zones under the influence of the development of common international trends, as well as the events of the recent months in the neighboring regions” - he said. “We also discussed the issues on the military cooperation within the CSTO and outlined the areas for the further work on the development of the military component of the organization".

Shoigu thanked the participants of the annual Moscow International Conference on Security, held in late May. "I thank everyone who was able to come to Moscow and to speak at the conference. Your participation makes an important contribution to the discussion of the urgent issues of the international security" - said the Minister, reports ITAR-TASS.
