Armenia’s Public Council to send Commission to international conference on Syria

YEREVAN, JUNE 4, ARMENPRESS. The Public Council of the Republic of Armenia by five–member Committee will participate in the international conference on Syria organized by the Public Council of Russia. Armenpress informed about it.

At the course of the Public Council plenary session the Chairman of the Public Council Religion, Diaspora and International integration issues Ruben Safrastyan introduced the second issue included in the Public Council agenda. “The Chairman of Armenia’s Public Council Mr. Manukyan sent a letter to the Public Councils around the world, some of which gave answers. The Public Council of Brazil, the Chairman of which is the President of the country, reacted and I should say that the answer is written by a very deep respect to the Armenian people. It is important to note that the Chairman of the Brazil Public Council raises an issue and turns to the international society in it to criticize and prevent human rights violations in Syria,” Ruben Safrastyan said. He added that they also received a reaction by the Secretary of the Public Chamber of Russia Evgeny Velikhov.
