Armenia’s Agriculture Minister pays working visit to Tavush Province

YEREVAN, JUNE 3, ARMENPRESS. The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia Sergo Karapetyan paid a working visit to Tavush Province. The Department of Public Relations of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that the working visit of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Armenia Sergo Karapetyan started by the participation in the province-council session. Congratulating the newly appointed governor Hovik Abovyan on his appointment in the high and responsible position, the Minister made a concluding reaction on 2013, spoke about the programs and plans of the current year, reacted on the strategy of the coming years.

Taking into consideration the potential of the region, as well as the strategic significance of the region, the Minister attached importance to the need to increase the volume of agricultural foods production by the realization of the state support programs. A special emphasis was put on the realization of state support programs in the border and mountainous communities.
