Armenian injured in Aleppo

YEREVAN, JUNE 2, ARMENPRESS. As a result of the missiles falling on Armenian New Village neighborhood of Aleppo on June 1 an Armenian was injured. As “Armenpress” was informed from Aleppo's news office, the injured is Zareh Kahkejian. His condition is, fortunately, stable and his life is out of danger. Aleppo’s terrible war situation continues. The previous day, from morning hours till evening, in various districts of Aleppo, especially in New Village neighborhood, missiles and mortars made from gas barrels fell.

On May 31, as a result of the missile shelling on Armenian New Village neighborhood of Aleppo Rahel Davityan and Misak Pargev Poshkezenyan died.

Earlier, information was received, that in the result of the missile shelling on New Village neighborhood of Aleppo, on May 30, 22 people were killed and another 75 were wounded. Fortunately, no Armenians were among them.

During the three-year conflict in Syria, according to the U.N. data, the death toll has exceeded 150 thousand. The number of the killed Armenians is over 100.
