“Armenia” pan-Armenian fund to send another 60 thousand dollars to Kessab-Armenians

YEREVAN, MAY 6, ARMENPRESS. The issue of the Syrian-Armenians continues to remain in the center of “Armenia” pan-Armenian fund. During the forthcoming week the fund will send another 60 thousand dollars to the Kessab-Armenians to solve the residency issues of displaced Kessab-Armenians.

The executive director of “Armenia” pan-Armenian fund Ara Vardanyan said in a conversation with Armenpress that the collected money is the result of the support by the local and the Diaspora benefactors. “The issue of the Syrian-Armenians has been in the center of attention by the fund for already a few years. We send the collected money to Syria without any deductions. Unfortunately the support is little, the sums are too and we are not able to provide our compatriots with goods of prior need,” Ara Vardanyan said. He added that he raises the need for support to the Syrian-Armenians during all the events in the Diaspora.

It is three years “Armenia” fund has delivered financial means to the Syrian-Armenians. After the Armenians had been displaced from Kessab the fund began to carry out fundraising and sent them 63 thousand dollars.
