Ambassador Yeganian gives interview to Canadian “The Prince Arthur Herald” periodical

YEREVAN, MAY 6, ARMENPRESS. The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Canada Armen Yeganian gave an interview to the Canadian “The Prince Arthur Herald” periodical speaking about the Armenian-Canadian bilateral relations.

Armenpress reports that reacting on the relations of the two countries Ambassador Yeganian stated that Armenia and Canada have a wonderful history of the bilateral diplomatic relations. Within more than 2 decades of friendship the two countries did not have any problems or disputes. On the contrary, they fully supported each other in many areas of the joint work. For example, Canada unconditionally supported Armenia’s application for the membership of the International organization of la Francophonie from 2006 observer status until 2008 associate member status, and then a full member in October 2012. Armen Yeganian noted that Armenia is proud to be a part of the International Organization of la Francophonie, as it shares many common values and annually holds a great number of ceremonies which obviously speaks about the tie between Armenia and the International Organization of la Francophonie in education, art, culture and other areas.
