ANC Austria calls to OSCE to support Kessab Armenians

VIENNA, APRIL 1, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian National Committee of Austria sent a letter to the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Ambassador Lamberto Zannier, the President of the Swiss Confederation Didier Burkhalter and the Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE Permanent Council, the Swiss AmbassadorThomas Greminger, attaching their attention to the attacks on the Armenian-populated Kessab town-village of Syria. Armenpress reports, citing the website of the ARF Bureau Central Council that the members of the Armenian National Committee of Austria asked the OSCE officials to support the Kessab Armenians.

“Turkey supported the destructive actions of the Armenian-populated Kessab and for the third time made the local population leave their homes and properties. OSCE has the moral authority to invite the attention of the international community to the issue and openly criticize Turkey for the demolition of Kessab. The Head of the Swiss Delegation in OSCE, as the Chairperson of the Permanent Council, may invite the attention of the OSCE participant countries to the issue”, - says the letter directed to the OSCE officials.
