Tovmasyan does not share Pashinyan’s concern over fines of speed violations

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 26, ARMENPRESS. The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia Hrayr Tovmasyan explained in the National Assembly where they spent the sums charged for traffic violations. “500 million AMD was transferred to the reserve fund of the Ministry of Finance by which flats were bought for the military servicemen and people equated to them. 300 million was spent on post services, 90 million was spent on the acquisition of transport means,” the Minister stated. The sums were spent in different places and the Minister did not have information about all the expenses on hand.
At the course of a conversation with the Government at the National assembly Minister Tovmasyan reacted on the issue in response to the question of the Deputy of the Armenian National Congress (ANC) Faction Nikol Pashinyan which referred to the increase of violations of road-transport traffic in the result of road cameras and speedometers.
