Armenia's Constitutional Court suspends some articles of Law on Accumulative Pension

YEREVAN, JANUARY 24, ARMENPRESS. The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia made a decision to suspend the 76th article and the 3rd part of the 86th article of the Law of Republic of Armenia “On Accumulative Pension” by the end of the trial regarding the constitutionality of the 5, 7, 8, 37, 38, 45, 49, and 86 articles of the Law of the Republic of Armenia on “On Accumulative Pension”.

The Press Service of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that in accordance with the 2nd part of the 34th article of the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On the Constitutional Court” the verdict enters into force from the moment of its publication.

Opposition factions of the National Assembly of Armenia – Armenian National Congress, Revolutionary Federation /Dashnaktsutiun and Heritage – as well as Prosperous Armenia faction along with them filed a motion to the Constitutional Court on December 17 regarding the compulsory accumulative pension system.
