Needy families to pay 100 drams for gas instead of 156

YEREVAN, JANUARY 23, ARMENPRESS: The Government of the Republic of Armenia will continue compensating a part of the price for the consumed gas by the socially needy families. Thus, the price for one cubic meter of gas for the needy families will make 100 drams instead of 156. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan stated about it at the session of the Government on January 23. “It is known that we provide the socially vulnerable families with assistance. We will continue that policy and the price for gas for them will remain 100 drams. During the last two years the price for gas was 132 drams and we compensated 32 drams. Now we will compensate 56 drams”, - said the Prime Minister, Armenpress reports.

Tigran Sargsyan instructed the Ministers of Energy and Natural Resources and Labor and Social Affairs to prepare a corresponding decision and submit it to the Government so that it would be possible to continue the assistance to the vulnerable families. The decision will be submitted in a week.
