YEREVAN, JANUARY 8, ARMENPRESS: Armavia Air Company promises to compensate the salary debts to the former employees after the holidays but connected with the volume of the debt, some discrepancies are available.The former employee of Armavia Mary Kalantaryan told Armenpress that the debt of the company is about 100 million drams, the salary for 4-5 months.According to Kalantaryan, Armavia promised to pay the salaries after the sale of two airplanes. “The planes have been sold, but the payment has not been implemented”, - told the former employee.
Armenpress was informed by Armavia: “Concerning the salary debts, we have to pay only for a month. Connected with the Christmas holidays, the money transfers are being delayed for some reasons, which will be eliminated after the holidays”.
The company had announced about beginning process of bankruptcy and since April 1 Armavia has suspended the flights. Armavia up to now continues process of compensation of tickets for the flights which did not take place. The company has not introduced to court the documents on bankruptcy. Later the company announced about selling planes and property for paying off the debts.
