YEREVAN, DECEMBER 10, ARMENPRESS: Year by year the number of the tourists, coming to Armenia in the New Year, increases and the incoming tourism grows in winter season as well. The Head of the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia Mekhak Apresyan told the journalists about it. “The foreign tourists come to Armenia in groups and visit the historical and cultural places in Yerevan and the marzes of Armenia”, - said Apresyan, Armenpress reports.
The service quality in Armenia is gradually growing and Armenia becomes more and more attractive in the world tourist market.
The tourism growth in 2012 made 11,3% in comparison with 2011. During the months of January-September the number of the tourists arrived in Armenia made 670,906 people, which is more by 12,4% than the indicator of the same period of the previous year. Armenia is more visited by tourists from Russia, Georgia, Iran, European countries and USA.
