Russia Reduces Gas Price for Armenia

YEREVAN, 2 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS: Russia significantly drops gas price for Armenia, 1000 cubic meters of gas to be supplied to Armenia for 189$. As Armenpress reports, this was announced by Russia's Presidemnt Putin at the joint press conference of Armenian and Russian leaders, after bilateral talks, on December 2. Armenian Government and Russian Gazprom Company signed a new agreement for the gas supply from Russia to Armenia in 2014-2018. According to the agreement Gazprom will supply Armenia with 2,5 thousand billion cubic meters of gas. On July 7, 2013 Russia had increased the gas price for Armenia to 270 USD for 1000 cubic meters. Before that the price was 180 USD. The CEO of Gazprom Aleksei Miller has declared that the gas prices for Armenia will change and Armenia will be supplied with gas with Russian internal prices.
