Armenian Government adds to state awards

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS: The Republic of Armenia will define new state awards and will regulate the awarding procedure by the Legislation. After the approval of the projects package in the Government’s agenda of November 21 and its adoption by the National Assembly, the number of the state awards will be replenished by three more awards: the Medal of Gratitude, the Medal for Selfless Work and the Parental Glory Medal.

The state awards of the Republic of Armenia are the highest title and the orders and medals of Armenia. The highest title is the National Hero of Armenia. The orders are the Order of the Battle Cross, Order of Glory, Order of Honor, Order of Saint Mesrop Mashtots, Order Tigran the Great and the Order Vardan Mamikonyan. The medals are the Medal For Courage, Medal of Service in Battle, Medal For Services Contributed to the Motherland, Medal For Excellent Maintenance of Public Order, Medal of Mkhitar Gosh, Medal of Mkhitar Heratsi, Medal of Anania Shirakatsi, Medal of Movses Khorenatsi.
