European Ombudsman Institute refutes disinformation by Azerbaijan

Y EREVAN, NOVEMBER 15, ARMENPRESS: In the result of the cooperation between the Ombudsmen of the Republic of Armenia and Republic of Nagorno Karabakh European Ombudsman Institute spread a statement yesterday, by which it denied the misinformation in the website of Azerbaijan’s Ombudsman on the incident taken place at the course of the conference in the city of Innsbruck, Austria. “Armenpress” was informed about it from the staff of Human RightsDefender of the Republic of Armenia.

At the course of the conference devoted to the 25th anniversary of the European Ombudsman Institute which was held in Innsbruck city of Austria in September, the representative of Azerbaijan’s Ombudsman (the Ombudsman was absent) after the speech of Human Rights Defender of Artsakh Yuri Hayrapetyan, asked for a speech complaining for the participation of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh.

After the incident, apparent misinformation was placed in the official website of the Ombudsman of Azerbaijan as if Yuri Hayrapetyan had been removed from the conference after the speech of the representative of Azerbaijan’s Ombudsman.
