YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS: Parents require closing schools in Kassa, Bab Tuma, Bab Shark, Zablatan and Duela in Damascus until security is restored in the marked regions. Our compatriot Nazaret Elmajian residing in Damascus informed it in a conversation with “Armenpress” addingthat all the schools were closed for four days in the marked neighborhoods because of the dangerous situation. Nazaret Elmajian also stated that there are a few victims and 2 dozen injured in the result of the rocket bombing in Kassa, Bab Tuma, Bab Shark, Zablatan and Duela. Material damages are also great. The target of rocket bombing was eastern suburbs of Damascus.
A rocket fell on Armenian Katoghike College in Bab Tuma neighborhood on November 13, causing material damage. Fortunately, the college was closed. Nazaret Elmajian stated that again in Bab Tuma neighborhood Armenian Simon Telian was injured from the shrapnel of the bomb. He was immediately taken to hospital. His condition is stable and his life is out of danger.
