Law of copyright violations to enter into force on November 10

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 8, ARMENPRESS. The draft of the law about making additions and changes in the law of the Republic of Armenia “About copyright and related laws”, is to fight against the copyrights infringement cases, will enter into force since November 10. The member of the Republican Party of Armenia Faction, co-author of the law Arpine Hovhannisyan told it in a conversation with Armenpress. “The draft of the law was published on October 30, in 10 days, it will enter into force,” Arpine Hovhannisyan underscored. According to the co-author of the law Arpine Hovhannisyan the law will serve the goal only if the Mass Media keep the journalistic ethic rules. “Keeping journalistic ethic rules plays a significant role in this case, otherwise, the law will lose its meaning,” Arpine Hovhannisyan noted. The law is not designed for adding forensic claims against Mass Media; its goal is the settlement of the current problems. Arpine Hovhannisyan assures that the Mass Media should understand that it is not appropriate to throw the journalist’s work into the water in a moment by taking it and putting it in another website without proper reference. She expressed a hope that this problem will get its solution after the law enters into force, and the journalists will keep the journalistic ethic rules at the course of their work activity.
