Armenia’s President receives Rowsch Nuri Shaways’s delegation

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 7, ARMENPRESS. Today the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received the delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq RowschNuriShaways. Armenpress was informed from the Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the President’s office of the Republic of Armenia, that welcoming the members of the delegation in our country the President stated that he remembers with warmth their meeting and meaningful conversation held at the course of RowschNuriShaways’s visit to the Republic of Armenia for the first time last year. Serzh Sargsyan noted with satisfaction that the visit was turning in the relations of the two countries: Armenian-Iraqi Inter-governmental Committee was formed in a short period, the Embassy of Iraq was reopened in Yerevan, and today the second session of the Inter-governmental Committee is already held.

The interlocutors shared the same opinion that the first business meeting played an important role in the development of commercial-economic relations as well, the evidence of which is the sharp increase in the commercial volume between the two countries. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan expressed a hope that the present visit by the Deputy Prime Minister of Iraq RowschNuriShaways will also be efficient so that Armenia and Iraq will record new success in the political and economic relations next year.
