2 minute read

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 23, ARMENPRESS: They have been working together for 44 years. They are connected not only with work but also with close friendship. On October 30 in the framework of the Arm Jazz Week 75 project, the joint concert-evening of Martin Vardazaryan and Yervand Yerznkyan will be held at Mezzo Club. The Armenpress correspondent met with the composers and talked with them about the concert-evening, the present and future of the orchestra, the Armenian jazz and other issues.
- Mr. Vardazaryan, Mr. Yerznkyan, what expectations do you have from the forthcoming concert-evening to be held at Mezzo Club on October 30? What kind of concert will it be?
- Martin Vardazaryan:The evening itself will be a surprise, during which two partner personalities will perform together. Each of us is a personality. During the evening I will sing some songs and I hope that it would be a surprise not for me but to the audience. I think we will have a friendly and warm evening without any difficulties and formalities.
- Yervand Yerznkyan:I have not ever preached my composing activities and in the orchestra I perform my works quite seldom. I think it is not good. During this concert-evening all my presented works will be a surprise for everyone, as nobody has heard them. (THE FULL VERSION OF THE INTERVIEW IS AVAILABLE IN ARMENIAN)
