YEREVAN, OCTOBER 14, ARMENPRESS. At the course of the recent 20 years new animal species appeared in the forests of Armenia, which could not be met in Armenia 2 or 3 decades ago. In a conversation with "Armenpress" conservationist Hrach Ghazaryan noted that among those animals are striped hyena, pied crested cuckoo, jungle cat, and Indian crested porcupine, which reached Khosrov Forest State Reserve. Among other things conservationist Hrach Ghazaryan underscored: "At the course of those years we also witnessed the opposite process as well. Once there was a vast number of Armenian sheep (mouflon) and Bezoar ibexes. We often met three Bezoar ibexes in the same place by 90s. Notwithstanding, they had vanished after the war, but now they appear sometimes."
