EU entry visa facilitation procedure to be over by the end of current year

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. The agreements regarding the entry visa facilitation and the readmission of persons residing without authorization between the Republic of Armenia and the EU are currently in the stage of domestic ratification and the procedure will be over by the end of the current year. The Head of the State Migration Service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Yeganyan stated this in a conversation with "Armenpress". According to him the agreements regarding the visa facilitation and the readmission of persons residing without authorization will be ratified, even if the Republic of Armenia does not pre-sign the EU Association Agreement.

Among other things the Head of the State Migration Service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Yeganyan underscored: "These are different procedures. Armenia signed the visa facilitation agreements one year ago. We have singed agreements regarding the readmission of persons residing without authorization with 14 countries, 13 of which are European countries."
