Maryland supports Nagorno Karabakh on its way of democratic development

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 23, ARMENPRESS. The Governor of the State of Maryland of the U.S. Martin O'Malley issued a congratulatory address on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, where he touched upon Nagorno Karabakh as well. As reports "Armenpress" citing the Press Service of the Maryland Governor, O'Malley addressed warmest wishes to Armenia and the Armenian people. At the same time he highly appreciated the young democracy of Nagorno Karabakh as well as the long and strong ties with the United States via Armenia. Among other things it was stated that Nagorno Karabakh shares the same values with Armenia and the United States including democracy and basic principles of self-determination and human rights. In this respect the Governor underscored that Maryland encourages those values and expresses its supports to all the peoples, which choose liberty and democracy as their way of development.
