USA refused to hand over former State Duma deputy to RF

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS: The verdict of the former deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Ashot Yeghiazaryan, who is accused of major fraud in Russia, might be carried out in absentia, as the General Prosecution was refused in extradition of the former deputy. As reported by Armenpress, this was published by Izvestia on September 6.
“The Ministry of Justice of the United States of America refused the General Prosecution of the Russian Federation to extradite the former deputy of the State Duma Ashot Yeghiazaryan”, - says the article. According to Izvestia, “The United States of America do not comment on the issue”.
Since November 2010 Ashot Yeghiazaryan has been wanted by the Federal Services and since December – by international investigation. Investigation of two criminal cases is underway against him on major fraud.
