YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 6, ARMENPRESS: During the first six months of 2013 the Republic of Armenia exported to the member countries of the European Union mainly metals, ore and diamonds and imported cars, oil and petroleum products, medicines and equipment. As reported by Armenpress, the trade and commercial relations between Armenia and the member country of the Customs Union, Russia, are more comprehensive and multifaceted. Armenia exported to Russia mainly ethyl alcohol, fish, diamonds, food, fruits and imported energy carriers, wheat, corn, alcohol, aluminum, etc.
The total foreign trade index of Armenia with the member countries of the European Union during the first half of the year made $809million.
During the first six months of 2013 the total export indicator from the Republic of Armenia to the member countries of the European Union is about $266 million and the import – about $543 million. Armenia’s trade relations were quite active with the following member countries of the European Union: Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy, Netherlands, Romania, United Kingdom and Spain.
The total trade indicator of Armenia and the member countries of the Customs Union during the first half of 2013 made about $680million.
During the first six months of 2013 Armenia imported from the member country of the Customs Union, Russia, goods for about $510 million and exported for about $144 million. From Belarus the import indicator made 20 million and the export – about 3 million. During the first six months of 2013 the trade and commercial relations between Armenia and Kazakhstan are quiet modest (import – about $0,4 million and export – about $3 million).
