YEREVAN, AUGUST 26, ARMENPRESS. The performance titled "Flight over the City" by Narine Grigoryan, actress of the Yerevan State Puppet Theater after Hovhannes Tumanyan, managed to charm both the Armenian and foreign audience during the last years. The aforesaid performance flies from festival to festival telling the people about the inner world of a blind girl, thus exciting and surprising the audience regardless its age, gender, and nationality. The performance will participate in "World Stage Design" festival, which is scheduled to be held in September in Cardiff, Wells. "Armenpress" had a conversation about all these issues with the Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia Narine Grigoryan.
- What is special about the upcoming "World Stage Design" festival in Cardiff, and is the first time You participate in this festival?
- I would like to mention that "World Stage Design" festival will launch in Cardiff for the first time and will last from September 4 to September 15. We shall introduce our performance on September 14. There will be six of us in the delegation. The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia will take care about the travel costs. When we sent the performance to the festival's organizers, it turned out that it meets the format of this festival. We know that a number of prominent theatrical groups will take part in the upcoming festival.
- Then, we may say that "Flight over the City" continues its triumphant march.
- "Flight over the City" participated in a number of festivals. We participated in the Costa Rica Festival in 2012. We also participated in the festival of CIS Young Directors, which resembles “Eurovision”. We won the third prize. Also we received an award in Belarus for original language. As you can see we fly to various festivals at least once a year (laughing). The performance is theatrical in its nature, as people do not face linguistic difficulties while watching it. We also participated in "HayFest", "Armmono", "Theatre X" and other Armenian festivals. Recently we have also participated in "Duet" festival as well.
- What are You planning to do after the festival in Cardiff?
- I am preparing a new performance. It's not completed yet, notwithstanding we have already received invitations for participation in various festivals. I am hopeful we shall introduce the new performance by the end of the current year. (THE FULL VERSION OF THE INTERVIEW IS AVAILABLE IN ARMENIAN)
