YEREVAN, AUGUST 21, ARMENPRESS. The Governor of Kars Eyüp Tepe announced that despite the ongoing archeological excavations in the historical city of Ani, the current activities are not enough.
As reports "Armenpress" citing Turkish "Haberler" news agency, the Governor of Kars Eyüp Tepe highlighted that the ruins of Ani play a significant role and are of a certain importance for the development of tourism in Kars.
Among other things the Governor of Kars Eyüp Tepe underscored: "Unfortunately, it has been several years since Ani is abandoned. Some petty activities are ongoing currently, notwithstanding our budget is too small for such activities and if we maintain the current tempo, we shall not be able to give Ani a start in life even in 50 years."
