YEREVAN, AUGUST 6, ARMENPRESS. Advancing the 105th anniversary of prominent American-Armenian author William Saroyan, full-length movie titled "Half Moon Bay" directed by Marine Zakaryan will be introduced to the audience. Four novels by William Saroyan – "Parsley Garden", "Half Moon Bay", "The Pheasant Hunter" and "Third day after Christmas", will be introduced in a single full-length movie. In a conversation with "Armenpress" filmmaker Marine Zakaryan noted that "The Pheasant Hunter" is already completed and the Yerevan premier of the movie is scheduled to be held on August 31 in "Moscow" cinema theatre.
Among other things filmmaker Marine Zakaryan underlined: “The Pheasant Hunter” was first introduced in the short movies competition program of the Moscow festival of short films. Notwithstanding, the movie did not get prizes, but the audience liked it greatly.” In addition she noted that William Saroyan is her favorite author and she could not even imagine that the foreign audience will understand Saroyan so deeply.
