Gor Sujyan celebrates 26th birthday anniversary

YEREVAN, JULY 25, ARMENPRESS:The soloist of the Dorians Armenian rock band Gor Sujyan celebrates his 26th birthday anniversary on July 25. As the Armenpress correspondent was reported by the Armenian singer, Gor celebrates his birthday working. “I am not so active on my birthday this year. I have come to work to our rehearsal as usual”, - said the singer. Gor left the virtual world and that is the reason he has not yet got a “flow” of congratulations and best wishes from his fans. Though he was congratulated on the official website of the band.

Concerning the creative activities of Dorians, Gor Sujyan told that they are carrying out active works on new songs recording. The songs will be presented to the public in November.

Gor Sujyan was born on 25 July 1987. He was passionate about music since childhood. In 2004, Gor finished Yerevan school #19. He never studied music professionally. Since 2006, he was performing at different clubs of Yerevan, Armenia. In 2008, Gor Sujyan and his friends joined together to form the Dorians band, and Gor has been the band front man ever since.

Gor Sujyan loves singing; he also plays several musical instruments.

Gor Sujyan, the front man of the band, decided he wanted to be a musician when he first heard the Stairway to Heaven by the Led Zeppelin. In almost no time the young man who had never studied music set off on a way of accomplishment, together with his friends.

In April 2009, Dorians won the Best Newcomer award at the annual Tashir Music Awardin Moscow.

In November 2010, the band had four concerts in Moscow. The same yearthe band won the Best Rock Band of the Year nomination at the Armenian National Music Awards. In 2011, the Dorians won the Best Rock Band of the Year, the Best Video of the Year and the Best Vocal of the Year awards at the Armenian National Music Awards.

In April 2011, the band releasedits first album, titled Fly.

In May 2013, Dorians represented Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with Lonely Planet, a song written by legendary British rock musician Tony Iommi.
