YEREVAN, JUNE 3, ARMENPRESS: The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan applied to the General Prosecutor’s Office on June 3 to give legal evaluation to the attempts to connect his name with some businesses made in his address and punish the guilty. As Armenpress was reported by the Press Secretary of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Armenia Sona Truzyan, the application was received by the Prosecution and will be processed in accordance with the law.

Earlier the Spokesperson of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Harutyun Berberyan provided clarifications concerning the article published in hetq.am “Cyprus Troika: Who 'Stripped' Businessman Paylak Hayrapetyan of His Assets?”, in which it is noted that Tigran Sargsyan is one of the shareholders of the “WLISPERA HOLDINGS LIMITED” registered in Cyprus. Harutyun Berberyan stated that the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia does not have anything in common with the Organization.

“The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan has no connection to the organization in question. Moreover, neither has the Prime Minister personally, or through any other authorized entity, registered any organization in Cyprus or any other off-shore location. There have been numerous attempts to connect the Prime Minister to various businesses. I assure you all such attempts are distortions of the fact. A complete report of Tigran Sargsyan’s personal property and financial resources is to be found in the Prime Minister’s financial disclosure statement.

The so-called documents that you have presented are false. The Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan is ready to go to court in order to discredit them and to punish those responsible for the falsification.

Let me also point out that this attempt at deceit has failed from the start, given that the address of the Prime Minister as registered in the document is incorrect”, - says the e-mail of the Spokesperson of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Harutyun Berberyan.
