YEREVAN, MAY 28, ARMENPRESS: The results of the Eurovision 2013 International Song Contest might be recalculated and the victory will be given to Ukraine. This was reported by Armenpress, quoting the Ukrainian website Inpress.ua.
The Deputy General Director of the Ukrainian National Television Company “First Wave” Valid Arfush expressed his opinion that if the scandal gets an international response, the representatives of Denmark and Azerbaijan will be disqualified and the winner of the Eurovision 2013 will be declared the representative of Ukraine Zlata Ognevich, who got the third place with her “Gravity” song.
The winner of the Eurovision 2013 International Song Contest Denmark appeared at the center of the scandal, when the author and the performers of the song were accused in plagiarism. The Dutch journalists found out that the song of Emmelie de Forest “Only Teardrops” was very much similar to the famous song of the Dutch band “K-Otic”.
39 countries took part in the 58th Eurovision 2013 International Song Contest, only 26 of which got to the Final. France, Lithuania, Moldova, Finland, Spain, Belgium, Estonia, Belarus, Malta, Russia, Germany, Armenia, Netherlands, Romania, Great Britain, Sweden, Hungary, Denmark, Iceland, Azerbaijan, Greece, Ukraine, Italy, Norway, Georgia and Ireland.The representative of Denmark Emmelie de Forest got the first place at the Eurovision 2013 International Song Contest with 281 points.
