Shakhtar clinched Ukrainian Cup again

YEREVAN, MAY 23, ARMENPRESS: Shakhtar clinched the Ukrainian Cup for theninth time in their history on May 22. Shakhtar achieved success thanks to the goals fromFernandinho, Alex TeixeiraandTaison. As reported by Armenpress, quoting the official website of the Ukrainian Shakhtar Donetsk, the game Shakhtar (Donetsk) vs Chornomorets (Odessa) was held at the Metalist Stadium. Shakhtar opened the scoring whenLuiz Adrianoreceived a ball fromMkhitaryanand managed to feedFernandinhonear the penalty area. The Pitmen’s midfielder advanced forward a little and fired an unstoppable drive into the roof of the net.

On the 53rd minute Mkhitaryanfired a shot from point blank range. HoweverBezotosnyymade a wonder save when rushing out of the goal. Shakhtar won the Ukrainian Cup last year as well. In the current tournament the Pitmen achieved also the title of the Ukrainian Champion.
