Former soloist of System of a Down rock band, American-Armenian composer, activist Serj Tankian congratulated "Dorians" rock band on the occasion of their entrance to "Eurovision 2013" finals. As reports "Armenpress" the American-Armenian rock musician posted in his facebook wall the following note: "Congrats to The Dorians and Tony Iommi for getting into the Eurovision finals. The Dorians are the band who opened for us in Armenia a few years back at the opening of the Tumo Center."
Armenia's delegate to "Eurovision 2013" international song contest "Dorians" rock band will perform under No. 12. The final stage of the contest will launch in Malmö, Sweden on May 18. In accordance with the votes of the jury and TV audience, "Dorians" rock band representing Armenia under No. 11 at the semifinal of "Eurovision 2012" international song contest reached the finals. "Dorians" rock band representing Armenia introduced "Lonely planet" song under No. 11 at the second semifinal held on May 16 in Malmö, Sweden. As reports "Armenpress" Hungary, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Romania, Norway, Iceland, Finland, Malta, and Greece reached the finals along with Armenia. There were 17 countries participating in the second semifinal of the contest.
The organisers of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, SVT and the EBU, have revealed the running order for the Grand Final on Saturday. The running order was determined by the producers of show (SVT) and approved by the EBU Executive Supervisor, Jon Ola Sand and the Reference Group.
The most popular Armenian rock band Dorians representsArmeniain the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest, with the song Lonely Planet, written by Tony Iommi, the guitarist and songwriter of Black Sabbath, and Armenian lyricist Vardan Zadoyan.
The Grand Final will be broadcast live in all participating countries. Viewers and professional juries in 39 participating countries will vote. Viewers and professional juries each have a 50 percent stake in the outcome. The professional juries will feature six members in each country. The televoting window will be opened after all the songs have been performed.
