Criminal case instituted on attempt to vote on behalf of another person

YEREVAN, MAY 14, ARMENPRESS: A criminal case was instituted at the Kanaker-Zeytun Department of the Police at the Government of the Republic of Armenia on the incident of attempting to vote on behalf of another person at the polling station 03/19.As Armenpress was reported by the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Armenia,the secretary of the commission of the polling station 03/19 sent a message to the Police, based on which it was defined that four persons, not being residents of Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district and having no right to vote at the abovementioned polling station, tried to vote there.

By the Prosecutor’s instruction, a criminal case was instituted on the incident based on the 34-153rd article of the RA Criminal Code. Investigation is being carried out.
