Dina Garipova expects for good impressions from signing with Dorians

YEREVAN, MAY 9, ARMENPRESS: The representative of the Russian Federation at the Eurovision 2013 Song Contest Dina Garipova will as well participate in the concert with the Armenian Dorians rock band, to be held on May 10 at the largest concert hall of Copenhagen Ambergio. The Russian participant reported the Armenpress correspondent from Malmö that she expects only positive impressions from the forthcoming contest. “I am waiting for our meeting very much. I hope that the contest will be very interesting”, - said Dina Garipova, who got acquainted with the activity of the Dorians band during the qualifying stage of the contest.

Concerning the contest, the Russian singer told that the Eurovision 2013 Song Contest will become a real music celebration not only for the participants of the contest, but also for every person, who will follow the process of the contest from the concert hall or the TV screen.

The Song Contest in Copenhagen will be attended as well by the representatives from Finland, Georgia and Latvia.

The members of the Dorians have already made a sound-check in Malmö. As reported by the official website eurovision.tv, when the band members of Dorians arrived at the Malmö Arena, they first put on their stage costumes and started preparing their instruments. "It's a habit for us, we are used to play live, so even if our guitars are not plugged, we still prepare like at any other concert", they explained.

Gor Sujyan already performed as a backing vocal in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest for Eva Rivas, so he is experienced in terms of backstage preparations. "We are not nervous, we are enjoying the atmosphere here and can't wait to go on stage", they told before performing an acoustic version of their entryLonely Planet.

On stage, Dorians sang in a dark rock setting with moving spotlights directed towards the audience. Many wide shots were used, adding to the atmosphere of the song.

They were using a drum kit and electronic guitars, and Gor Sujyan gave a vocally strong performance. The band members were wearing stylish jeans outfits.

In the last run of the rehearsal, the special effects were shown. Smoke effects and wind machines were used, and in the last chorus fountains and red flames were applied.

At the Eurovision 2013 Song Contest, to be held on May 14-18, Armenia will be presented by Dorians rock group with Lonely Planet song, written by the guitarist of Black Sabbath Tony Iommi. The author of the lyrics is Vardan Zadoyan. 39 countries will take part in the Contest under the slogan “We are the one”. Armenia will perform in the semi-finals on May 16th in Malmö, Sweden.
