Philharmonic Orchestra to hold concert in memory of Armenian Genocide

YEREVAN, APRIL 23, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra will give a concert devoted to the memory of the Armenian Genocide on April 24. The Orchestra remembers the victims of1915 Armenian Genocideperforming Requiemand“Words to the father”(a-capella) by a famous Armenian composerTigran Mansurian.

As reported by Armenpress, three leading Armenian choirs unite with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra around this concert: the Armenian State Chamber Choir (Artistic Director and ChoirmasterRobert Mlkeyan),Yerevan State Chamber Choir(Artistic Director and ChoirmasterHarutyun Topikyan)and Hover Chamber Choir(Artistic Director and ChoirmasterSona Hovhannisyan). Soloists will be Hasmik Torosyan(soprano) andDavid Babayants(baritone).

The concert will be conducted by Robert Mlkeyan and Eduard Topchyan.
