Republican Recitation Children-Youth Contest-Festival launches on April 5

YEREVAN, APRIL 4, ARMENPRESS: On April 4 the National Assembly President of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan received a group of intellectuals, jury members of the Republican Recitation Children-Youth Contest-Festival.

As reported by Armenpress, under the auspices of the NA President Hovik Abrahamyan on April 5 for the 6thtime will start the Republican Recitation Children-Youth Contest-Festival, which is dedicated to Armenian acclaimed poets Paruir Sevak and Hamo Sahyan. This time also, the Festival will be held in the marzes of Armenia, in Yerevan, Artsakh and Javakhk.

Hovik Abrahamyan was interested in the preparatory procedure of the Festival and organizational issues. The NA President highly appreciated the fact that year by year the number of participants increases, and from 6000 participants it reached to 170.000, which means the Festival more and more confidently implements its main mission, strengthens in young generation love, devotion to Armenian Literature and particularly, to Armenian poetry.

The jury members thanked the NA President for support and caring attitude towards Armenian Literature and presented their recommendations. Hovik Abrahamyan welcomed Razmik Davoyan’s proposal to include also Syrian Armenian pupils. The NA President expressed readiness to support the Festival from now on too.
