AMD 14,5 million for assistance of Syrian Armenians allocated by Yerevan municipality in 2013

YEREVAN, MARCH 21, ARMENPRESS: 32 Syrian Armenia citizens of Armenian Republic receive pension. This was noted by head of social department of Yerevan municipality Ruzanna Zakaryan in the interview with journalists. She has urged all retired Syrian Armenians who are citizens of Armenia to apply for pension.

As Zakaryan noted in accordance with 2013 data about 500 Syrian Armenian families with 1400 members live in Yerevan. Head of social department informed that in two months Yerevan municipality had already allocated AMD 14,5 million for assistance of Syrian Armenians.

Syrian Armenian refugee toll in Armenia has reached 6500 from March 2011.
