Armenian Ambassador to Italy presented position of Armenian side on settlement of NKR conflict

YEREVAN, MARCH 14, ARMENPRESS: Newly appointed Armenian Ambassador to Italy Sargis Ghazaryan on March 12 handed copy of his credentials to Stefano Ronca, Chief of the Diplomatic Protocol of the Italian Republic. As Armenpress was informed from press, informational and public relations department of Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting interlocutors had referred to Armenian-Italian historical ties, warm and friendly traditional relations between the two states as well as underlined the importance of deepening and strengthening them in different spheres.

Possibilities of cooperation in frames of international organizations, as well as in Armenia-EU framework have been discussed. In this regard Ambassador Ghazaryan underlined the importance of reforms implemented in Armenia.

Interlocutors touched on issues on regional developments. In this connection Ambassador has stressed that Armenia is interested in regional cooperation, stability and security.

On Stefano Ronca’s request Ambassador Ghazaryan presented position of Armenian side regarding NKR conflict underlining that Armenia advocates the peaceful resolution of the issue. He has also noted that position of Armenian side is the same as the position of international community.
