YEREVAN, MARCH 13, ARMENPRESS: Applications of former presidential candidates Raffi Hovhannisyan and Andrias Ghukasyan submitted to Constitutional Court are unsubstantiated and do not contain such evidence which will allow declaring results of presidential elections of February 18, 2013 invalid. This was noted by President of Central Electoral Commission Tigran Mukuchyan during March 13 session in Constitutional Court.
“Central Electoral Commission of Armenia finds that in order to declare results of presidential elections invalid, number of violations, putting results of elections under suspicion, must be recorded. In this context commission finds that assumptions, considered as violations, are not realistic,” Armenpress quoted Mukuchyan.
He stressed that CEC had completely clarified all the important circumstances. Mukuchyan underlined that applicant-side didn’t know the Election Code.
Based on presidential candidate Raffi Hovhannisyan’s application on disputing N62 A decision “On election of the President of Armenian Republic” of Central Electoral Commission, Constitutional Court reached a decision to accept the case for investigation.
K. Balayan and F. Tokhyan and A. Khachatryan are appointed as rapporteurs of the case.
