Number of servicemen involved in housing improvement program to be multiplied 5 times

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 26, ARMENPRESS. Solution of the problems regarding housing in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia is a continuous procedure and has always been in the centre of attention of the authorities. In a conversation with "Armenpress" the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated that each year they lay a heavy emphasis on the regions where the service is much more overloaded. Artsrun Hovhnannisyan mentioned: "Particularly in the military unites near the border the creation of service funds gives an opportunity to the servicemen to stay there with their families and ensure the appropriate level of performance of their duties."

In 2013 the number of servicemen involved in "The Housing Conditions Improvement Program" can multiplied for 5 times in comparison with the previous year. It has been considered to provide 330 houses during the period of 2013-2014. Among other things the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan noted: "159 servicemen and 51 families of the fallen and disabled persons gave a house-warming party. Almost half of them in the regions. These cost about AMD 500 million."
