Armenian conscript kidnapped in Syria was set free

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 20, ARMENPRESS. An Armenian conscript, who was kidnapped about a month ago in Syria, has been set free. The Press Secretary of the Armenian National Prelacy of Aleppo Jirair Reisian stated this in a conversation with "Armenpress". In addition he said that the conscript's name is Hakob Tunjyan, who was taken captive in the environs of the Maadan Region in Rakka. Reisian certified that Hakob Tunjyan is safe now.

There is no information about the kidnapped Armenian priest and Gevorg Karagulyan, who was kidnapped on his way to work few days ago.

Among other things he Press Secretary of the Armenian National Prelacy of Aleppo Jirair Reisian noted that shelling continues in certain districts of Aleppo, notwithstanding he added that they are far from the Armenian districts of the city.

In accordance with the UN data clashes lasting about 23 months in Syria caused death of over 60 thousand people, including more than four dozens Armenians.
