YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 18, ARMENPRESS: Central Electoral Commission has issued data of electors' participation embracing the Province centers and cities possessing 10 000 and more habitants at 5:00 pm. As Armenpress reports, 366, 620 capital Yerevan citizens (making 44,45%) out of 824, 620 electors have already cast their votes.
The results are as following regarding the Provinces:Aragatsotn – 62, 655 voters (54.82 %),Ararat - 125, 195 voters (58.76%),Armavir- 101, 533 voters (45.20%),Gegharkunik - 107, 681 voters (57.74%),Lori - 125, 923 voters (52.94%),Kotayk- 110, 153 voters (47.37%),Shirak - 111, 286 voters (48.54%),Syunik - 61, 771 voters (56.27%),Vayots Dzor- 24, 732 voters (52.35%) and Tavush61, 825 voters (56.99%), Armenpress reports.
The citizens of the Republic of Armenia are participating in Presidential elections for already the sixth time. 1988 polling stations of 41 electoral districts are open by 08:00. The total number of the voters included in the voters' register of the Republic of Armenia is 2.505.980 by February 17.There are seven contenders running for president in the Republic of Armenia. The names of the presidential candidates are introduced in the alphabetical order in the ballots. They are as follows: Hrant Bagratyan, Paruyr Hayrikyan, Raffi Hovhannisian, Andrias Ghukasyan, Arman Melikyan, Serzh Sargsyan, Vardan Sedrakyan.
The voting will end at 20: 00. The Presidential Election results will be wrapped up on February 25.Each electoral commission comprises of eight members. National Assembly five factions namely RPA, PAP, Armenian Revolutionary Federation, "Heritage", "Rule of Law" and "The National Congress" alliance had the right to appoint one member.
