Lebanese Armenians allocated USD 100 000 for assisting Syrian Armenians

ANTELIAS, FEBRUARY 15, ARMENPRESS: Executive representatives of Lebanese “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund have visited Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I and handed the check for the assistance of Syrian Armenians. As Armenpress was informed from Antelias, members of Lebanese body of the fund informed that thanks to the efforts of all Lebanese Armenians, U.S. $100 000 raised through the annual Radiothon in Lebanon was decided to be allocated for the assistance of Syrian Armenians.

Catholicos Aram I has gladly welcomed the initiation of Lebanese Armenians to help their brothers and sisters from Syria through fundraising, noting that it should serve as model for all compatriots.
