YEREVAN, JANUARY 11, ARMENPRESS. Public Television of Armenia is currently in the middle of the process of internally selecting their candidate for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest.
As reports "Armenpress" the official website of Eurovision Song Contest states that one of the most persistent rumours is that Sirusho might represent the small Caucasian country. However, the Head of the Armenian delegation, Gohar Gasparyan, emphasizes that nothing has been decided yet. Sirusho introduced Armenia in Eurovision Song Contest in 2008 and occupied the forth position, which is the best position Armenia has ever taken.
She just recently released her new single Pre-Gomesh, which became the most watched Armenian clip within short time scoring over 560.000 views during the first three weeks of publication.
Among other things the official website of Eurovision Song Contest states that this might indeed be a continuation of the Qélé Qélé story, the song title of which was taken from the works of Komitas. Public Television of Armenia doesn't deny the fact of Sirusho's candidacy.
Sirusho had already confirmed her interest to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest last year, but in the end, Armenia did not participate in the 2012 edition of the contest. Will she get her chance this year? We shall find out soon!
